Aqcha carpets
This type of rug is made around the city of Aqcha, in northern Afghanistan, in an area inhabited by nomads and villagers with an elephant sole and Maori pattern. It lends a unique atmosphere to our home, with its varied colours. This rug is washed and dried in the sun four times after preparation and shearing, and it is also colour-fastening. Many people think that the denser and thicker the carpet, the better and more durable it is. Thickness is a matter of shear. Durability is the result of the density of the knot and the associated material quality.
We hope you enjoy your hand-knotted rug purchased from us and enjoy using it!
