Arijana Shaal rug 175x241 – handmade Afghan Oriental rug

Arijana Shaal rug: dimensions, material and craftsmanship

The 175 × 241 cm Arijana Shaal rug originates from Afghanistan. It is handmade with a wool pile and is 7–8 mm thick. Red and blue shades define the rug's colour appearance.

The Arijana Shaal rug is 175 cm wide, 241 cm long and 7–8 mm thick. Dimensions are particularly important when choosing online: consider them alongside the proportions shown in the photographs. Checking the full width and length together helps you decide whether the selected rug is the right size. Its dimensions may also make it suitable for a living room.

It has a knotted wool pile. The appearance of the wool surface may change with the viewing angle. This is due to the direction of the knotted fibres: the rug reflects more light from one direction and may look darker from the other. It is therefore worth comparing product photographs taken from different directions.

The Arijana Shaal Oriental rug, also known as a Khorjin rug, is known as a modern Persian rug and is made in Afghanistan. As a handmade Afghan rug, it is characterised by both its wool pile and its knotted construction.

The 175 cm width and 241 cm length refer to this particular rug. Alongside the illustration of the rug type, please also review the photographs of the actual product.

Cleaning the handmade wool pile

Regular, gentle vacuuming is the basis of caring for the Arijana Shaal rug. Set the vacuum cleaner to low suction and move the head in the direction of the wool pile. Keep the area beneath the rug clean as well. Avoid vigorous rubbing of the wool surface and, where possible, treat soiling before it dries.

Treat fresh soiling as soon as possible with a clean, slightly damp cloth. Do not rub the stain vigorously or soak the rug. Choose only a cleaner suitable for wool and follow its instructions for use. Test on a less visible area first; for stubborn stains or more extensive cleaning, consult a professional experienced with handmade rugs.
