Arijana Shaal rug 179x269 – handmade Afghan Oriental rug

Arijana Shaal rug: handmade from wool

This Arijana Shaal rug measures 179 cm in width and 269 cm in length. The handmade wool rug originates from Afghanistan and is 7–8 mm thick. Red and blue shades define the rug's colour appearance.

The Arijana Shaal rug is 179 cm wide, 269 cm long and 7–8 mm thick. It is worth measuring out the exact width and length in the available space before ordering. The photograph shows the rug's appearance, but both dimensions are needed to assess its actual footprint. This size may also be suitable for a living room.

It has a knotted wool pile. The appearance of the wool surface may change with the viewing angle. This is due to the direction of the knotted fibres: the rug reflects more light from one direction and may look darker from the other. It is therefore worth comparing product photographs taken from different directions.

This Arijana Shaal Oriental rug, also known as a Khorjin rug, belongs to the modern Persian rug category. It is a handmade wool rug of Afghan origin.

The 179 cm width and 269 cm length refer to this particular rug. Alongside the illustration of the rug type, please also review the photographs of the actual product.

Caring for the Arijana Shaal rug

The handmade wool pile requires gentle cleaning. When vacuuming the Arijana Shaal rug, select the lowest setting and work in the direction of the pile. Move the rug occasionally so that you can clean the area beneath it. Regular inspection of the wool rug also plays a role in preventing moth damage.

For spilled liquids, first blot up the moisture with a clean cloth. Do not rub the wool surface vigorously or use a cleaning product unless you know it is suitable for wool. Always test your chosen cleaner on a less visible area first. Extensive or stubborn soiling, as well as full cleaning, is best left to a professional.
