Description of Kazak carpet
Kazak carpet has become popular mainly because of its warm yet light colours. It is most often recommended by interior designers for classically decorated homes. Its designs are inspired by Russian geometric patterns. It's just called Kazak carpet, but it's an Afghan carpet. The used wool is coloured with natural vegetable dyes. The Kazak Oriental carpet is characterised by a strong colour scheme. Its advantage is that, thanks to its bright colours, it does not darken the atmosphere of your room. As a living room carpet, it matches perfectly with the colours of sofas or coffee tables. As a bedroom carpet, it is also used on the two sides of the bed. In this case, it is sufficient if the colours of the carpets are matching. Every step of the carpet making process is 100% handmade. It can be laid in the busiest living rooms thanks to its durability. The Kazak oriental carpet knotting technique is called Gheordes, which means double knotting. Once the carpet is finished, it is washed four times and then left to dry in the sun. It does not contain any allergenic substances.
Cleaning a Kazak oriental carpet
As with all oriental carpets, they can be vacuum cleaned immediately, but always in the direction of the fibre. It is typical of oriental rugs that they allow some wool fibre at the beginning of their use, but this stops over time. This is a natural process. Most dirt can be removed from the carpet with a slightly damp cloth. The dirt should be removed immediately, it is not worth waiting for it to dry. For more extensive cleaning, however, you should leave it to professional carpet cleaning companies. The worst enemy of oriental carpets is moths. It is therefore worth vacuuming under the carpet from time to time. Do not place heavy furniture on the carpet, especially if it has sharp feet.
