Aikat rug 274x199 – handmade modern Persian rug

Introducing the 199 × 274 cm Aikat rug

The Aikat rug is defined by its 199 × 274 cm dimensions, 7–9 mm thickness and wool material. The rug originates from Afghanistan and is handmade. The rug is beige.

The Aikat rug is 199 cm wide, 274 cm long and 7–9 mm thick. The knot density is approximately 200 000 knots/m². The knot count is given per square metre, allowing comparison with handmade rugs of different sizes on this basis. This figure does not represent the total number of knots in the entire rug. The rug may also suit a living room, provided the available space accommodates its dimensions.

The knotted part of the rug is made of wool. The warp is made of cotton. Handmade construction and the wool pile define the rug's structure. The direction of the fibres changes the appearance from different angles: lighter and darker colour effects can be observed on the same rug. It is therefore helpful to view product photographs from different angles together before purchasing.

The Aikat rug is known as a modern Persian rug and is made in Afghanistan. This Oriental rug combines wool material with handmade craftsmanship.

The 199 cm width and 274 cm length refer to this particular rug. Alongside the illustration of the rug type, please also review the photographs of the actual product.

Aikat rug: gentle care

For regular care of the Aikat rug, use your vacuum cleaner on low suction. Work in the direction of the pile and avoid rubbing the wool surface vigorously. Remember to keep the area beneath the rug clean; moving the rug occasionally allows you to remove accumulated dust underneath.

Prompt, gentle action is important when treating a stain. Try to remove fresh soiling with a slightly damp cloth, without soaking or vigorous rubbing. Use only a cleaner suitable for wool rugs, following the manufacturer's instructions and testing it first. For more extensive cleaning, choose a professional experienced in treating handmade rugs.
