Aikat rug 120x176 – handmade modern Persian rug

Aikat rug from Afghanistan

This Aikat rug measures 120 cm in width and 176 cm in length. The handmade wool rug originates from Afghanistan and is 7–8 mm thick. The rug features a beige colour palette.

The Aikat rug is 120 cm wide, 176 cm long and 7–8 mm thick. Dimensions are particularly important when choosing online: consider them alongside the proportions shown in the photographs. Checking the full width and length together helps you decide whether the selected rug is the right size. Its dimensions may also make it suitable for a bedroom.

The pile is handmade from wool yarn. The knotted fibres form the surface of the rug that you walk on. The direction of the fibres affects how they reflect light: the same surface may appear lighter from one end and darker from the opposite direction. Please bear this in mind when comparing.

The Aikat rug is known as a modern Persian rug and is made in Afghanistan. This Oriental rug combines wool material with handmade craftsmanship.

When choosing the Aikat rug, consider both the photographs of the actual product and its 120 × 176 cm dimensions. The presentation below provides further visual guidance on this rug type.

Cleaning advice for this wool rug

Protecting the wool fibres should be your first consideration when cleaning the Aikat rug. Vacuum on a low setting, following the direction of the pile. Clean beneath the rug regularly and occasionally check the less visible areas. Regularly check the less visible parts of the rug for soiling as well.

For spilled liquids, first blot up the moisture with a clean cloth. Do not rub the wool surface vigorously or use a cleaning product unless you know it is suitable for wool. Always test your chosen cleaner on a less visible area first. Extensive or stubborn soiling, as well as full cleaning, is best left to a professional.
